Rubén Saavedra Pascual is the Co-Founder & CEO of Metrica Sports. ´I used to be a scientist who loved sports and sports data analysis. Now I am the CEO of a sports tech company who loves science. I have a passion for learning and reinventing myself. Big challenges keep me in motion, and Metrica Sports is a great place to be for that!´- he reveals.

Now, moving on to what are your primary daily responsibilities and key challenges in Metrica Sports?
I am responsible for all aspects of the business side of the company. From fundraising and investor relationships, to managing the sales team.
Furthermore, one of my main duties and challenges is defining the strategy, and overseeing product development. It is to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and strategy.
Do you have a greater passion for sports or for business, and why?
I used to be a scientist who loved sports. Now I am the CEO of a sports tech company who loves science. I have a passion for learning and reinventing myself. In addition, big challenges keep me in motion, and Metrica Sports is a great place to be for that!
I enjoy strategizing both the short and long-term plans of Metrica Sports, understanding customer needs and developing innovative solutions. Being a social person, interacting with customers, investors, and everyone connected to Metrica Sports is something I thoroughly enjoy.
Which are your favorite teams, and how did your love for sports begin?
I have been a Barça fan since birth, with no choice in the matter. I was born into the fan base of the world’s largest football club, so there’s nothing to complain about! / he smiles /
I’ve played basketball throughout my life, enjoying watching football as well as other sports like basketball or handball. Barça is not only the best football team in the world but also excels in these other sports!
Combining my passion for sports, team performance and my background in sports data analysis in a challenging environment like Metrica Sports has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.
What are your primary short- and long-term goals with Metrica Sports?

This enables everyone at the club to use the same platform, from the U10’s to the First Team. If we achieve our short-term goal, I’m confident that we will become the market leader for the sub-elite market.
